S OSVALDO

Vine growing in the Western part of Veneto dates back to the roman era and was rationalized by the Benedictine Monks in the 10th Century. With the Serenissima Republic of Venice it became an even more important economical aspect, reaching its peak in the Asburgic era. The cultivation of Tocai grapes starts after the First World War: the historically most voted area for the production of this wine is the one surrounding Lison and Pramaggiore.
